Other Religions

I was thinking tonight about Christians and how they relate to the
other religions around the world. What do all of you think about
tolerance to other religions? Is there more than one "correct"
religion? If we believe that Christ is the only true way to heaven,
(as told to us in the New Testament) then how should we handle
situations with friends who are of different religions. Discuss.

Jesus and a Prostitute

This one really is all about opinion, but I hope you'll find a deeper meaning, or several. Read John 8: 3-11 for me. This is the story of the Pharisees, etc. bringing a prostitute caught in the act to Jesus and asking his what should be done with her. Here are my questions:
1) Do they really want Jesus to say "Stone her."
2) What are the morals of this story as taught by Jesus?
3) What in the world is Jesus doing down there in the dirt?
4) What gift has this woman received from Jesus? What gifts?

Is Your Faith an Opinion or Researched?

In today’s world so many people take the shortcuts. You can go online and plagiarize your papers, find shortcuts to research, or most anything. Faith and opinions are a lot like that. Rather than doing the work and research, we can just come up with an opinion or take someone else’s opinion and use it as our own. The question is this: is it okay to skip the research and simply form opinions on faith and religion based on other’s work? Or are we required to do the work ourselves in order to have a valid opinion or even a valid faith? -Stephen

You've Got to Start Someplace....

It seems you guys spend a decent amount of your lives here: in cyberspace. So, we've created a place for you to link to each other on the plane of your faith. Here your youth leaders (and quite probably you) will pose questions, discussion topics, and information that is discussion worthy, and then the rest will be up to... well, who knows? This will be a place of honesty, respect, and truth. None of us has the answers, but hopefully this will make the Christian journey more interesting.
